Baltimore, MD (July 15, 2019) – The Mullan Contracting Company has been chosen as the general contracting company for a new 2649 square foot Righttime Medical Care facility located at 44980 St. Andrews Church Road in the California area of St. Mary’s County, Maryland. The Maryland-based urgent care company, which is open 365 days a year, offers an alternative to hospital emergency room visits. The Mullan Contracting Company has constructed eight separate Righttime Medical Care facilities in the Maryland region.
The concept, which was founded by Robert G. Graw, Jr., M.D. as an after-hours alternative for infants and children of working parents but now cares for patients of all ages, is open from 7 am to 11 pm. Each care center is equipped with laboratory and x-ray services, as well as a state-of-the-art Call Center and on-line scheduling system, while walk-in patients are also accepted. Eighteen Righttime Medical Care centers currently operate in the Maryland region, including a newly-opened location in Towson, Maryland. In addition to the California site, new locations are planned throughout Maryland in College Park and Hagerstown, as well as Prince Frederick, Virginia.
This location, located at the signalized intersection of Three Notch Road and MD Route 4, will consist of a ground-up construction. The project will include multiple treatment rooms, a full-service laboratory with x-ray services, a waiting room area, as well as a state-of-the-art Call Center and on-line scheduling system for patient convenience.
“The Mullan Contracting Company enjoys an excellent relationship with Righttime Medical Care, we are extremely familiar with their people and processes and we appreciate the company’s continued confidence in us,” explained Joseph Rode, President of The Mullan Contracting Company. “Medical facility build-outs are typically more complicated than standard office or retail construction projects due to the larger volume of electrical wiring, power considerations including the use of secondary and emergency sources, as well as specialized lighting that allow physicians to perform examinations and procedures. We fully expect the execution of a problem-free construction project at this location.”
“We have worked with the professionals at The Mullan Contracting Company for several years now, and continue to be impressed with the results,” said Dr. Graw, CEO for Righttime Medical Care. “As Righttime continues to expand, we are delighted to partner with Mullan’s contracting team for their ability to deliver beautiful, high-quality urgent care locations for us.”
The new Righttime Medical Care center is positioned at a retail-extensive section of St. Mary’s County with a number of major retailers located within close proximity to the site. These include Belk, Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale Club, JCPenney, Kohl’s,Lowe’s, Sears, Target and Wal-Mart. Nearly 27,000 vehicles pass the site on a daily basis.
The California location is expected to open this fall.
Several years ago, The Mullan Contracting Company won a “Merit Award” from the Baltimore Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) for the construction of a Righttime Medical Care facility in Frederick, MD.
