Iconic beachside fast-casual restaurant opens in Minstrel Crossing
Baltimore, MD (February 18, 2016) – The Mullan Contracting Company has completed tenant build-out activities for a new 8,000 square foot Grotto Pizza restaurant, contained within Minstrel Crossing in the Columbia section of Howard County. The site represents the first location in the Baltimore metropolitan marketplace for the fast-casual restaurant that is widely known among vacationers in Reboboth Beach, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland. Grotto Pizza also operates a restaurant in the Gambrills area of Anne Arundel County.
“The construction team kept its schedule throughout the winter months, and we are now open to take advantage of the better weather that is just around the corner,” explained Jeffrey Gosnear, Vice President of Grotto Pizza. “The interior is bright and inviting with colorfully-painted and exposed air ducts that adds interest to the environment. The final product emerged exactly how we envisioned, and has already received compliments from the early visitors.
“This site, near major highways and embedded within dense residential neighborhoods, is ideal to support our restaurant concept. There are ample daytime and nighttime traffic opportunities,” he added.
Grotto Pizza features locations throughout the Delaware and Maryland shore region including Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach, as well as sites in Pennsylvania. The restaurant is recognized for its oven-fresh pizza selections featuring sixteen different varieties, as well as submarine sandwiches, burgers, calzones and salads.
“Our team has deep experience in restaurant build-outs and this project featured a straight-forward and efficient design,” stated Joseph Rode, President of The Mullan Contracting Company.
