Baltimore, MD (June 26, 2017) – The Mullan Contracting Company has completed the retrofit of a former free-standing Citibank branch in Catonsville, into a new Righttime Medical Care facility. The Maryland-based urgent care company, which is open 365 days a year, offers an alternative to hospital emergency room visits. The facility is located at 6500 Baltimore-National Pike in Baltimore County.
The concept, which was founded by Dr. Robert G. Graw, Jr., M.D. as an after-hours alternative for infants and children of working parents, is open from 7 am to 11 pm. Each facility is equipped with laboratory and x-ray services, as well as a state-of-the-art Call Center and on-line scheduling system, while walk-in patients are also accepted.
For this requirement, Mullan Contracting completely gutted the interior of the former restaurant, and installed new plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems throughout the structure, as well as leveling the floors. Additional work included the installation of drywall to complete the new facility layout, millwork, carpeting, tile flooring, a new storefront and window treatments. In addition, a lead line wall was integrated into the X-ray room.
“This was an extensive and total retrofit,” explained Joseph Rode, President of The Mullan Contracting Company. “Medical facility build-outs are typically more complicated than standard office or retail construction projects due to the larger volume of electrical wiring, power considerations including the use of secondary and emergency sources, as well as specialized lighting that allow physicians to perform examinations and procedures.”
